Domain forwarding or web forwarding
Prior to activating domain forwarding, you will need to do the following;
- Transfer an existing domain or buy a new domain. There is no charge to transfer a domain name to us, if your domain is not due to expire. If your domain, is a TLD domain name like .com, .net, etc, then an additional year of registration will be required on transfer. Standard renewal prices apply.
- After your registration or transfer has been completed, you can login to your domain name administration and order domain forwarding. To do this, login to your domain name administration. There will be a link called "Add Services". Click on the link and the following screen will appear. Select and order the hosting product. You will then be led to anothe screen, see below. If you are ordering domain forwarding, you must not tick the box that says "Choose only DNS" and we have provided the screen below, so you choose the right option.

If requiring domain forwarding, do NOT select the 'choose only DNS'. Simply click on 'Order URL forwarding/DNS Hosting' and you will receive an email when your domain name forwarding service has been set up.

After Domain Name Forwarding has been activated on your account, you will receive an email to let you know. You can then,
- Login to your domain name account with your username and password
- Click on "manage domains" and select "edit" in the domain name field that you wish to edit.
- Click on "Hosting Control Panel" and the following screen will appear.

Select "home" and the following screen will appear.

Under "Hosting" select "setup" and select "standard forwarding".

And enter the URL where you wish your domain to be forwarded to.
You would choose "frame forwarding", if you do not want your domain name to change URL. We recommend that you choose standard forwarding because framed forwarding will not allow your site to be crawled by search engine robots and hence your site will not be indexed in search engine directories.
Finally, navigate back to the following page

Changing your name server records
If you have transferred a domain name in, you will need to change the name server records before domain name forwarding will work. Navigate to "Name Servers" and change your name server records to (below). Click "update name servers".
| | Host Name | ip adreess |
| primary name server | brigh.twoplums.com.au | 202.47.4.136 |
| secondary name server | mutley.twoplums.com.au | 72.3.132.132 |
It will then take 24-48 hours to propogate these changes across the internet network but often much sooner.
We advise that if you want to see your domain name resolved sooner, do not be tempted to visit your domain name because your ISP will hold the old address (pre changes you have just made) in its cache. If you are concerned that you have not filled in the fields properly, log back in and navigate to these pages and check that all the information has been entered in correctly. Usually, if you return in a few hours and enter your domain name into the address bar of your browser, you will see the changes that you have made working
Problems
If you have any problems, please contact sales@passioncomputing.com.au from your registrant email address, and send the name of your domain, the destination url and whether you want standard forwarding or framed forwarding. If you do not indicate the type of domain forwarding we will choose standard forwarding.
Note:
Domain name forwarding does not come with email forwarding. If you wish to use the email addresses associated with your domain name, then we recommend that you buy email hosting. Click here for email hosting prices.
